Mexican Wedding Cookies: a sugary, buttery, heavenly cookie with a hint of nuttiness, just like my family.
My brother and I always look forward to the holiday's when our Abuelita makes Mexican Wedding Cookies, especially around Christmas when we get into snowball cookie fights.

MEXICAN WEDDING COOKIE INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup creamed butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
2/3 cup powdered sugar
Cream one stick of room temperature the butter by beating it by hand or with a mixer until it is creamy.
Step 2: Add the vanilla, 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and mix until it’s nice and fluffy. Then on a lower speed add the flour and nuts.
Step 3: Roll the dough into about 1 inch balls and lay them on a naked cookie sheet.
Step 4: Pop them into a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes, without browning them. Once they’re done, let them chill for 5 minutes.
Step 5: Place the 2/3 cup of powdered sugar into a bowl and roll the cookies with a nice sugary coat. If you’d like to dust them with a little extra magic, sift a touch of pearlescent food glitter. So yummy!
